Welcome back kindergarteners! I hope you enjoyed a little digital break from school last week.

I am excited to jump back into learning and start spending more interactive time with you during reading groups. We will now be using Zoom for live videos. The Office Hours link will take you to all live meetings with me whether that is for office hours from 9-10 AM or Reading Groups starting at 10:15 AM.

I will be meeting with the Golden Retrievers (Jerri, Addie, Nathan) at 10:15 AM and the Bulldogs (Nicholas, Oli, and Simon) at 10:45 AM this morning. If you are meeting with me today your job will be to finish up any work we discuss during our session and complete 1 math activity on your own.

If your group is not meeting today, you should be completing 1 literacy and 1 math activity on your own. Additionally, all students should complete the writing lesson found in Daily Lesson Plans.

Please click the links titled Math and Literacy to find your child’s packet and print the entire packet for the week. You can also go ahead and print the How-to draft paper for our How-to writing lesson today. An alternative to the draft paper is using your child's black writing journal.

Happy home learning! Thank you parents for all your support in the coming weeks.

Warmly,

Mrs. Jordan

Morning Kiddos hope everyone had a great spring break and is ready to attack a new week of school! The plan for today is to do a 21-minute follow along workout video to get those heart rates up and muscles moving and strong.
If needed the video can be broken up into different time segments and feel free to modify an exercise (ex. Do half of the video than come back to it at a later time during the day/Instead of the knee pushups do full ones if you can).
I have also added in a fun minute to win it challenge if you have balloons and want to try it. Have fun and as always if you have any questions feel free to email me at jriley@sevenpeaksschool.org.

Morning kiddos hope everyone is having lots of fun and learning a ton from home. I am enjoying creating lists of things to do for all of you and will start having my boys help me in some home videos. For today I have included another Yoga video for the kids to try as well as a Captain America workout. For the Captain America workout video the kiddos can do 1 round or 2 rounds. If they decide to do 2 rounds take a 2 minute break in-between round 1 and 2. If you have any questions feel free to reach out jriley@sevenpeaksschool.org
Have fun and keep moving! When possible get them outside and you can also work on some catching/throwing skills as well.

Good Morning! Can you believe it is already Thursday? This week has flown by and we only have 2 more days of school before Spring Break. I know many of you had to cancel your original Spring Break plans and have more time at home! What will you do?

Before we head off for a week of relaxing, playing, and exploring at home I’d like to see your faces and hear about your plans.

Tomorrow from 9-10 AM I will be hosting a morning circle on google hangouts. Here are the things I’d like you to think about;
1. One thing you are looking forward to next week
2. One thing that has been difficult for you with distance learning
3. The How-To writing topic you are hoping to tell others about!

Also on Friday, we will have a Mystery Reader. Here are the first 3 clues. I will give you the last 2 clues on Friday during our Morning Meeting.

I was born in Mexico City, Mexico.
I have 2 sisters and 1 brother.
I’m 6 feet 4 inches tall.

For today, please see the link titled Daily Lesson Plans! We will be completing the last math and literacy activities provided in the original packet. After today, math and literacy work will be a pdf link moving forward. I will also be introducing a new math unit in a video today.

Kindergarteners and parents I have been so impressed by your commitment to learning from home! Keep up the good work.

Hugs,

Mrs. Jordan

Helloooo Amazing Artists!! Ready to create some 3D fun pieces using materials you have around the house? Ok, Lets Do it!! You will need a Box bigger than your head, aluminum foil, or other paper to cover the box, paper, scissors, tape and Parent help.
You can be creative with this and change up colors and papers and design. I am excited to see what you come up with. Make sure to get a parent to help cut the holes. Would love to see what you create. You can take a picture and email it to me!
See you again after spring break!
