Happy Friday, Seven Peaks! For this week's experience, you get to take a trip around the world! A major goal of both PYP and MYP is to help students become internationally minded. Watch the video to learn what this means and how you can develop it at home.

For your activity, you are going to pick a country you know nothing about and use your research skills to find ways that life there is similar to yours, as well as different. Try to find some other interesting facts, too, that your peers would like to read. There are two resources below you can use to research, or find your own source. You'll then share what you learned on the Google Doc so we can all learn from each other about these new countries.

Hello Amazing Seven Peaks Artists! Today I have a challenge for all of you. It is sunny outside and its a good day to collect rocks. Gather some smooth rocks and some paint or other materials to decorate your rocks with lets get started. Note: Acrylic paint works the best but remember it doesn't come out of clothes. If you don’t have paint, you can use chalk, markers or even just make fun designs out of rock. I have included a very short video on African Rock Art for further learning. Check it out in the link below. I can’t wait to see what you come up with. Please send me pictures.

Hello 5th Grade artists! I hope this day finds you refreshed and enjoying the sunshine! Today we will be making our last pop up piece of art. It is a one point perspective cityscape. I think you will like it! You will need paper, tape, scissors and a black marker and other markers, crayons or pencils to color with. Some of the steps are tricky so I have included a step-by-step guide google slides document below in case you'd like to look at that as you work, and not keep pausing the video. This lesson may take longer than mosts, so if you want to break it up into two days you can. Do the cityscape first, then the car second. Up to you! The link is below.
I have also included an extra video (in the links below) if you want to learn more about one-point perspective drawing.
Happy creating, artists! Send me pictures! :)
