We are launching a brand new parent organization for the 2022-23 school year: Seven Peaks Community Organization or SPCO.
The mission is to support the entire Seven Peaks Community (staff, parents, students, family and friends of the school) by creating a collaborative and inclusive environment to promote volunteering, involvement, connection, support, educational opportunities and fun in our everyday school lives.
The SPCO will function similarly to a traditional PTO. Recommended dues will be collected and placed into an account owned by the school. Together with the administration, the SPCO will decide how to use these funds throughout the school year.
How do I join?
If you are a parent/guardian, the recommended annual dues are $250 per student. If you have more than one student at SPS, we recommend $50 per additional student. To join SPCO and pay your dues, head here.
If you are an extended family member (grandparent, aunt, uncle) who would like to be included in the SPCO, the recommended annual dues are $100.
What does my money go towards?
Annual dues help us get everyone in our community joined together in one organization. These funds will pay for and support many things throughout the school year: events, event tickets, staff appreciation, supplemental field trips/class experiences, etc. Annual dues ensure that Seven Peaks won’t be asking you for additional donations/sponsorships throughout the year for social events, clubs, and to support various school needs. Instead Seven Peaks will reserve it’s asks for annual donation events like the fall auction and spring giving campaigns.
*Annual dues are not meant to pay for teacher/staff gifts throughout the year - that is up to individuals to coordinate
What are the volunteer expectations?
Per the Family Agreement, each family is expected to volunteer 40 hours per school year. This will be tracked using our volunteer sign up app. Joining the SPCO is a great way to fulfill your hours for the school year.
How do I volunteer?
SPCO relies on the strength of its volunteers. We have both small and large roles available. You can view and sign up for all of those roles here:
How will meetings work?
Leadership Team planning meetings will be the first Wednesday (except for June/Sept.) of each month at 8:15am.
Open Community Meetings will be the second Wednesday of each month, alternating mornings and evenings; meetings will consist of an update from the Leadership Team’s meeting the week before and then will include a special guest/presentation/discussion/event (e.g. - talk with board members, head of school coffee, local authors/professors/educators guest speaker on topics of interest, book/film/podcast discussion etc.)
