Ways to Manage Academic Stress
In the face of growing academic pressures, students can experience increased anxiety if they lack proper tools to manage their workload. Anxious Generation emphasizes the importance of teaching students practical skills for managing their stress and workload. At Seven Peaks, we focus on developing these skills through the IB Approaches to Learning.
Building Resilience Through IB Skills
-
Self-Management Skills: Students at Seven Peaks learn how to prioritize tasks, set realistic goals, and manage deadlines, which are essential in reducing stress. Our curriculum helps students cultivate mindfulness and emotional regulation strategies that address anxiety before it becomes overwhelming.
- Research Skills: Informed decision-making can also help manage anxiety. By teaching students how to gather information and evaluate it critically, we give them tools to better understand their stress and identify resources or solutions that can help them cope.
Building Resiliency Through a Growth Mindset
Resilience is a critical component of managing anxiety. By teaching students to embrace a growth mindset, we encourage them to see obstacles as temporary and surmountable. This perspective not only reduces anxiety but also builds confidence in their ability to handle future challenges.
