🎨 Honoring Hope Royes — An Artistic Legacy of Nearly Two Decades
At Seven Peaks School, we often talk about the power of individuals to shape our culture, inspire students, and lead with purpose. Few have lived that truth more fully than Hope Royes, our beloved MYP Coordinator and Art Teacher, who has been a cornerstone of our community for nearly 19 years.
From the very beginning, Hope brought her signature blend of creativity, compassion, and leadership to the classroom and beyond. Through her vibrant art lessons, thoughtful mentorship of students and staff, and unwavering commitment to the International Baccalaureate (IB) philosophy, Hope helped lay the foundation for the dynamic MYP program we have today.
She championed interdisciplinary learning before it was a buzzword. She saw the artistic spark in students others may have missed. She coached young thinkers to express themselves authentically—whether through mixed media, bold colors, or the written reflections that accompany every IB project.
Hope didn’t just teach art—she created a culture of curiosity, reflection, and expressive courage.
Her fingerprints are everywhere at Seven Peaks: in the murals that adorn our halls, the student-led exhibitions, and the confident voices of our MYP learners. And her legacy lives on in the many teachers she mentored, the structures she built, and the students who walked out of her classroom seeing the world—and themselves—a little more clearly.
As she moves on to explore new horizons, we send her with our heartfelt thanks.
Thank you, Hope, for giving so generously to our community. You made Seven Peaks better.
