Preparing for High School

A white informational flyer for Seven Peaks School features dark blue and yellow accents with text detailing the %22Portrait of a Learner%22 mission and core values.

Pillars of our Portrait of a Learner

Academic Aptitude
Seven Peaks learners approach new challenges with curiosity and confidence. Grounded in inquiry, they think critically, solve problems creatively, and build the skills to keep learning beyond the classroom. They take ownership of their choices and use what they learn to make a positive difference.

Self-Awareness
Seven Peaks learners reflect on how they learn, what they value, and where they can grow. They welcome different perspectives, recognize their strengths and challenges, and use feedback to become more adaptable, open-minded, and confident in who they are becoming.

Self-Advocacy
Seven Peaks learners learn to speak up for themselves and others. They ask for help when they need it, offer support when they can, and communicate their needs and ideas with confidence and empathy. These habits help them navigate challenges and build resilience.

Community & Global Leadership
Seven Peaks learners notice needs in their school, neighborhood, and wider world, then consider how they can help. They work across differences, listen to others, and take thoughtful action through service and collaboration. As leaders, they use their voices and choices to contribute meaningfully to their communities.

A Strong Foundation for Future Success

Future Success

The transition to high school is an important milestone, and Seven Peaks students are ready for it. Through the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework, small class sizes, and meaningful relationships with teachers, students build the academic skills, executive functioning, resilience, and self-advocacy needed to excel in top public, private, independent, and boarding schools.
