Leading Seven Peaks School into its Next Chapter
In spring 2026, the Board of Trustees and Dr. Sam Adams began conversations and planning for a leadership transition. The Board is formally launching a search for the next Head of School for the 2027–2028 academic year. Dr. Adams will continue to serve as the Head of School through the 2026-2027 academic year to ensure a seamless transition.

Our Search Partner
The Board of Trustees has partnered with Resource Group 175, a premier national executive search firm dedicated to independent schools. Grounded in the core values of integrity, inclusivity, knowledge, and flexibility, RG175 specializes in finding leaders who align deeply with unique school cultures.

Search Leadership and Committee
The Board of Trustees holds the ultimate responsibility for selecting Seven Peaks’ next Head of School; this is one of its most fundamental duties. The Board will contribute to shaping the desired candidate profile, meet with all finalists, and, based on the Search Committee’s recommendation, approve the appointment of the new Head of School.
To lead this process, the Board has established a Search Committee to manage the search on its behalf. The Committee is responsible for overseeing each phase of the process and will gather input from all constituents of the Seven Peaks community, including students, faculty and staff, parents, and alumni families. In partnership with our search consultant Tony Featherston at RG175, the Committee will coordinate and execute the logistics of the entire search effort.
Both the Board and the Search Committee are dedicated to keeping the Seven Peaks community informed and engaged as the process unfolds.

Winter 2027
- Search Committee reviews applications
- Semifinalist interviews by Search Committee
Winter–Early Spring 2027
- Finalists visit Seven Peaks for interviews and to meet the community (dates and times will be posted on this page)
- All constituencies give feedback on finalists
- Search Committee recommends candidate for Board of Trustees approval
- New Head of School announced to the community
July 1, 2027
- New Head of School begins tenure at Seven Peaks
