Parent Involvement and Volunteering

Studies show a  correlation between academic success and family involvement at school. Seven Peaks promotes parents as full partners, a philosophy where the family shares in the well-being of the student and the school. For this reason, we expect parents to attend both the Back to School Night in September, as well as the Re-Enrollment Night in January.

Seven Peaks works earnestly to teach students the importance and value of service towards others. By seeing parents volunteering their time and talents to help make Seven Peaks the best school in Central Oregon, students are inspired to do the same.

Our online system allows families to view volunteer opportunities in the school as well as to log their time. This way each parent can find an area where he or she feels passionate to serve. After completing our volunteer application, parents log in as a SPS volunteer and view the school year calendar with all the possible jobs. We recognize families for their involvement at school wide meetings and assemblies.

Families are required to volunteer 40 hours per year. Those who volunteer over 100 hours are honored at our Back To School Night in the fall.
