Electives

School is about more than reading, writing and ‘rithmetic. That’s why Seven Peaks offers an electives program like no other.

Engaging electives encourage teamwork, hone critical thinking and boost creativity. Seven Peaks’ electives are as interesting and diverse as our students.

Each Friday, middle school students have four electives. The three morning electives are teacher-led and build on core content areas, moving beyond books and the classroom to expand knowledge and create new learning opportunities in labs and group project activities.

The afternoon electives are presented in concert with parent and community volunteers. These unique opportunities for learning, growth—and of course, fun—have included:
Skiing and snowboarding at Mt. Bachelor
Fly-fishing
Rock-climbing
Humane Society volunteerism
Hip-hop dance
Lacrosse
Archery
Sewing
